Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No—the quote tool works with just six pieces of information: your gender, date of birth, general health status, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want, and the term length. These are sufficient to return actual carrier rates. Your name, address, or detailed health history are collected only if you decide to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The amounts shown are what each carrier quotes for the health category you selected and are for reference only. Your actual rate is determined by the carrier following underwriting, which may result in the same health class, a better one, or a different classification. Everything here is an estimate; coverage, rates, and eligibility are not guaranteed until the carrier issues a policy.
What happens when I click Apply?
You move into a secure online application that is already filled in with the answers you provided. The application runs on the carriers' secure platform and is processed by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129). You can exit and return to resume, and you sign using electronic signature.
Will I need a medical exam?
Whether an exam is required depends on the carrier, the coverage amount you select, and how you answered the health questions. Many carriers now offer streamlined underwriting with no exam for qualifying applicants; each quote on this site indicates whether an exam is expected, might be required, or is not part of the process for that particular offer.
Is a longer term better?
The right term matches the period when financial hardship would occur if you passed away—when a mortgage exists, children need support, or a business depends on your income. Longer terms mean higher monthly payments but preserve your rate for more years. The quote tool lets you compare what 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms cost side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
